And there they sit
on row by row
from grass to sky
the wood beams grow
and keep me safe
inside this home
of gardens green
i sit and throw
a hand of pebbles
one by one
at every post
and every rung
all these stones gathered
from journeys past
with lovers known
from edens vast
and now they lay
beneath these beams
just as i do
in shades of green
i think of all and every one
and hope they smile
in mid-day sun

perfection

the rains will start again soon
and i will seek warmth and comfort
in this unknowing splendor
